Day 1: City and History

The city has a relaxed, small-town feel, and you can get a sense of everyday life. You’ll also likely notice the large number of bicycle taxis, a key part of the local economy.

Mwulire Genocide Memorial: This memorial is a deeply moving and significant part of your trip. Located on a hill, it offers a somber and respectful place for reflection. Guides are available to provide context about the history of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and the events that unfolded in this area. Day 2: Nature and Scenery

Fumbwe Hill Hike: This is an excellent way to see the district’s natural beauty. Rwamagana Economic Zone: Your final stop will be the Rwamagana Economic Zone. This area highlights the district’s push for development and investment.
